Worship and
Music
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
What a beautiful description
of what we want to happen on a regular basis at River Hills Community
Church! To worship God is to declare His worth. River Hills Community
Church is a body of believers that loves to worship our Lord Jesus
Christ. Our desire as a congregation is to engage in passionate,
reverent, authentic, Christ-centered corporate worship every Sunday
morning. As we sing praises, our focus is not on what we can do
for God, but rather on declaring what he has done through Christ,
for His glory, and our benefit. In this outpouring of worship, we
find our deepest joy and satisfaction.
On a typical Sunday at
RHCC, worship teams of 4-7 people may use guitar, piano, violin,
bass, drums, cello, or flute, in addition to voices in leading worship.
But at its core, our worship is not about the music. As a fellowship
of believers bound together in the name of Christ, our congregation
has a song of praise in their hearts, and the job of the Worship
Music Ministry is to help give voice to those praises. Worship teams
are not limited to one musical style, but each team is encouraged
to take on its own style, reflective of the talents and tastes that
God has given. We also aim to stay connected to the historical church
by using hymns while incorporating the God-honoring, doctrinally
sound new worship music that Christ's church is continually producing.
If you're looking for
a church family, we'd love to have you join us for worship!
